Cheshire Pollinator Pathway 
at Boulder Knoll Farm

The Q Big Event crew did a spectacular job.  The first shrubs from the nursery bed were potted up and  new starts of red osier dogwood were planted. Thanks to Cheshire Nursery and Coast of Maine #growinggood for their in-kind donation.

The CPP Nursery bed at Boulder Knoll has been one of our best ideas. Native willow, red twig dogwood and elderberry were part of our first test plot. All were extremely successful. We'll use these for this year's annual native plant giveaways in May.

This plot will take many more loads of mulch. 

The beds are getting readied for trees and shrubs.

The beds need a thick layer of mulch and about a year  to prepare for planting. Our thanks to Kyle Cipully for his help in donating load after load of mulch. 

We've had help from many volunteers, including those community service volunteers from the Regional Water Authority. .

The initial work included cleaning the high tunnels to set up our sawhorses.

First thing we did was clean- to earn our keep at Boulder Knoll.
