About the event
In this Community Outreach Project, we learn about stormwater: where it goes and what it brings with it to local streams. What should and should not go into our neighborhood storm drains is key! In one-hour, short shots, neighbors and volunteers learn how storm drains function on their street and where the water flows. At the same time, reminder "No Dumping, Drains to the Sound" medallions are placed on storm drains to remind neighbors that it's up to us to help Keep Our Waterways Clean.
Our first neighborhood work party is Wednesday, June 23rd at 10 a.m. Rain date: June 24. Session runs approximately one hour. We meet at the entrance to Fawn Drive, off Cook Hill, in the south end of town. This session will kick off a summer of neighborhood stormwater medallion
projects. Register for one or more. Every little bit helps! Community service hours gladly given.
