About the event
In this Community Outreach Project, we learn about stormwater: where it goes and what it brings with it to local streams. What should and should not go into our neighborhood storm drains is key!
Throughout the summer, neighbors and volunteers will learn how storm drains function on their street and where the water flows, and then place "No Dumping, Drains to the Sound" medallions placed on storm drains to remind neighbors that it's up to us to help Keep Our Waterways Clean.
Our next neighborhood work party is Saturday, August 1st on Cherry and Spring Streets. The session run approximately one hour.
Community service/Volunteer hours gladly given. Details on meet up location after registration.
This is a partnership project with Cheshire Pollinator Pathway, the Coalition for a Sustainable Cheshire and the Mill River Watershed Association.
